1. Equipped with Basic and Clinical Talents:

    Instructors from both basic and clinical medicine instruct the students, so that the students are exposed to both basic and clinical science and research, and an educational and research system integrating basic and clinical sciences can be constructed.

  2. Emphasizes studies of local diseases:

    Cases with local features such as environmental and occupational medicine, problems of betel nut and oral cancer, molecular diagnosis, cellular and immunotherapy, nano-biomedicine, etc. are studied longitudinally along specific research directions.

  3. Smooth Academic Exchange with Foreign Institutions:

    Other than long term interactions with national organizations, the Institute of Medicine has also aggressively engaged in academic exchange with our sister schools, such as University of California in San Francisco, Medical Science Research Center of the University of Arkansas in the United States, Harvard University Medical School and School of Public Health, and Medical University of Southern Africa, Waseda University in Japan, and John Hopkins University in the United States. International exchange of students occurs regularly.

  4. Multidisciplinary, Integrative Studies:

    Students are involved in multidisciplinary, integrative studies by aggressively participating in research groups outside the school, as to increase the research capabilities and academic research status of the institute.
